3 years ago I saw an ad for the Warrior Dash in a magazine.
My life hasn’t been the same since.
I’ve been lifting weights since I was 16. I thought I knew it all. I followed bodybuilding and powerlifting programs with the idea that I was going to be awesome. Well, I was awesome, but just not very fit. A 300 lb bench press is USELESS when you’re winded from taking 12 bags of mulch from the car to the back yard.
My training since that first dash has changed completely.
Some of what you’ll read here are program reviews, equipment reviews, progress and updates, preparation for events and sites I believe can change your life like they did mine. I’m not a trainer, I don’t suggest you try anything I suggest without talking to someone that actually WENT to medical school (and graduated, became a doctor and is knowledgeable about your ability to perform strenuous activity.)
I doubt I’m ever going to look like the Leonidas in 300, but I plan to be able to keep up with him.
